Summery
This paper investigated the strength properties of composites made from polymer composite material based on ((unsaturated polyester resin / polystyrene)) system as matrix and wood dust as filler .The tests of composites based on wood dust filler particles at four different filler contents viz. 5%, 10%, 15%and 20%, were carried out .The wood dust was milled mechanically at room temperature and at dry condition . Strength properties – impact , bending and compressive strength carried out according to ASTM D4812, ASTM D790 , ASTM D695 respectively and their dependence on the wood dust concentration was determined , the optimize results were achieved at dust concentration of (10 w %) , so verify the filled system were performed to clarify the effect of the structure on composite materials properties .
