الوصف الكامل (Full Abstract)
One of the most things that cause vibration in a turbine blade is the thermally induced one at start-up operation. This vibrational type is studied here extensively. Where at start-up, a thermal shock is produced around the blade surfaces. This thermal shock will produce a stress waves that propagated through the blade body in a complex way. These stresses have considerable impact during the transient phase when the machine is turned on. The temperature gradient is enormous at the start-up like during the takeoff of flight. To reduce the influence of thermal shock in the blade, it is recommended to elevate the initial blade temperature before starting the turbine engine. This in turns leading to less stress disturbance that gives by the way to longer fatigue life. The obtained results were estimated by using finite element method with the aid of ANSYS software.
