Background: The burden of Road traffic accidents are increasing continuously in leading to high fatalities that rank Iraq as number four in the world.

Background: The burden of Road traffic accidents are increasing continuously in leading to high fatalities that rank Iraq as number four in the world.
Objectives:To assess the epidemiological features of RTIs in a time place person model.
Patients and Methods :This cross-sectional study included all RTIs cases admitted to the emergency department of Al-Hilla teaching hospital from 1st of February to the end of May,2015,. Patients were included regardless their age or gender, all participants were interviewed using pre tested questionnaire .
Results: Road traffic injury cases constituted the major proportion of cases admitted . Nearly two third of cases were in the productive age (15 -44) years, males were dominant (73.8%). Primary school educational level, unemployed, students, middle and low economic subjects were more exposed to RTIs. Pedestrians and motorcyclists were the main victims, (41.3%) and (31.1%), respectively. More than 60% of the accidents occurred inside the city,. Regarding the vehicles, motorcycles
