The persant research stems from the belief that the Arabic language is the language of the Holy Quran and accordingly the study attermpts to identify the variables included in the reading textbooks . The researcher chooses (30) different topics randomly represented by (4th,5th,and 6th) classes .The researcher then uses (30) multiple choice item tests with the omission of the final tenth word with a total reaching to (10) omitted administered to (900) male and female pupile . After applying the suitable statistical tools ,the following results are arrived at:
1. The levels of the reading textbooks are generally low.
2. The reading subjects are not gradual in terms of reading.
3. There is a statistically significant difference between the reading textbooks in the (5th) from the (6th) classes.
4. There is a statistically significant difference between the score of the reading textbooks (4th ,5th.and6th)classes according to specialization and in favor to scientific branch shows no statistical difference .
The researcher recommends the following :
1- Ensuring the marks of reading textbooks in general reading texts in particular .
2- Making use of the present study in designing reading textbooks in accordance with the pupils levels .
The researcher suggests the followings:
1. Conducting a similar study to the one for other reading texts and other stages.
2. Conducting a study on other variables excluding the present variables.
